She obtained a master’s degree in graphics and a bachelor’s degree in scenography at the Latvian Academy of Arts. Previously studied clothing design. Participates in group exhibitions since 2013, since 2016 painting is her main creative expression and occupation. The experience of working with so many different media has influenced her view of art, the process of its creation and her understanding of form. Linda Lagzdiņa became a finalist of the 2018 X Young Painter Prize with the series of experimental painting portraits “Anonymous Portraits”. In her art, Linda uses mixed media and recycled materials, such as decorative cosmetics, in parallel to traditional oil and acrylic painting. The themes and concepts of the creative works derive from personal feelings and express the author’s interests and perception of himself, others, the surrounding space and the aesthetics of form.
